Make Your Own Mind-Controlled Toys by The Assembly  by The Assembly

Every Star Wars fan has tried staring at objects and moving them with ‘the Force’ - well now thanks to technology, you can do exactly that! EEG based wearable devices are available commercially that allow for monitoring of electrical activity in the brain and these can be adapted to set up brain-computer interfaces with the help of a bit of coding.

In this workshop, we’ll show you how to modify and configure these devices so that they can be used to control simple everyday toys just by concentrating on them. We’ll then get creative and see the different things we can fabricate to control with our minds.

This special workshop will be conducted by 16 year old Rishabh Java , a student inventor and entrepreneur who was one of the winners at our recent Show & Tech event. Rishabh has an impressive resume - he’s built bionic arms for amputees, full size humanoid robots and telepresence devices, been a TEDx speaker and participated in industry expos in Singapore; he’s now set up Broccoli Brains - in order to produce a range of mind-controlled toys to aid those suffering with ADHD.
