Wood Working at in5 – Workshop

Level : Beginner

This introductory course is designed to educate the students about basic safety, tools, machines used in wood woodworking, providing hands-on training on woodworking applications. With the wide range of power tools we give the participants the space and means to create their next masterpiece. Students will undergo basic training in cutting, shaping, drilling and finishing individual and/or group projects designed to offer experience in different wood working techniques. No prior knowledge is required to attend this session.

• Introduction to Woodworking
• Things can go wrong (A Brief on PPE, Safety, Emergencies)
• Woodshop Tour
• Working with Power tools
• Hands-on experience
• Short Personal Projects

Sikendar is a maker who graduated from Heriot Watt University in Engineering and subsequently worked at design and fabrication labs in Dubai. He showed much interest in learning and conducting wood workshops and is currently working with in5, where he aims to educate the people in Dubai with various skills set he has acquired in the field of wood working.
