Polypanels are the building blocks of an ingenious snap-together functional system devised by Devin Montes of Make Anything that harnesses the power of 3D Printing and allows you to construct anything once you print the basic units.
They come in all shapes and sizes, with the edge connectors always the same so that any one polypanel can be connected to another, combining into forms that can be rigid or flexible or somewhere in between.
In this session, we’ll show you how to design and customize polypanels according to your own specs and requirements out of the basic template – following this we’ll demonstrate the various objects that can be created out of these wonder blocks, ranging from stationary holders, fridge magnets, bags to sturdy functional frames for electronic displays (including robots) – we’re only restricted by our imaginations!
