  1. What is your product / service?
    CorporateStack is a web based solution that is designed to manage and improve your business processes to make them more efficient and employee friendly. The full-fledged system can perfectly align with your business requirements. It is highly customizable and can be tailored to your needs. This powerful business solution comes with a flavor of social networking applications. Whether the employees are working on a quotation, opportunity, or a purchase order etc, they can write comments, follow and share these business tasks with their colleagues. CorporateStack offfers great value to companies that are in need for a comprehensive and affordable solution that does not necessarily require dedicated IT resources.

  2. What do you do? Describe it in one sentence.
    We offer web-based business solutions as SaaS (Software as a Service) or as on-premises applications. We cover areas of CRM, Human Resources, Asset Management, Projects Management, Collaboration, Purchasing & Inventory.

  3. What’s your story?
    The idea of CorporateStack was started in 2012 during my Master’s Degree. The aim was to develop a business solution to allow SMEs to manage their business in an intuitive and efficient way from anywhere and using any device at an affordable price. I decided to build a full-fledged solution including the most needed business modules to fill this gap. I wanted the application to be very user-friendly with a flavor of social networking applications in terms of collaboration and ease of use. In addition, the system had to be very flexible to perfectly fit with many businesses.

  4. When did you join in5? How long have you been a member for? What relates you to in5 now?
    I joined in5 in August 2016 as a member.

  5. How did you come up with your business idea?
    From my experience in the IT field for more than 12 years, and being involved in implementing several business solutions in different companies, I found that many SMEs lack to have proper solutions to manage and automate their daily operations. This is mainly due to the limitation in budget and IT resources. I aimed to build a powerful and cost-effective solution that would allow them to better manage their businesses with a high level of collaboration between employees and smart automation for the daily operations.

  6. What was the most defining moment for your business?
    When I completed my MSc IT and decided to take my graduation project CorporateStack which was formerly named Office Automation to the next level and improve it much further to build my startup and compete in the market.

  7. What is one fun fact everyone should know about your startup?
    CorporateStack was crafted with love as a powerful business solution with a flavor of social networking applications.

  8. How is innovation relevant to your work? What’s innovative about your business?
    The innovation in CorporateStack is that it provides to its users a powerful business solution with a flavor of social networking applications. Employees can work efficiently while maintaining their engagement with the system, due to its similarities with social networking applications that they are familiar with.

    a. To improve the application further and develop an accounting and finance module.
    b. To complete our business plan and the financial model.
    c. To continue reaching new customers in the market by increasing our sales channels through partnerships.
    We have completed the product development, website and the marketing materials.

  1. Why did you start up in Dubai?
    Dubai is the business center of the Middle East. It has great potential for startups and innovation.

  2. What is the role of innovation in entrepreneurship?
    To come up with new ways to produce cost-effective solutions with something better than the competition.

  3. What’s your top advice to aspiring entrepreneurs?
    Not to give up and persist through the tough times.

  4. Have you been funded? What was your starting capital and where did it come from? (If you’re comfortable sharing this)
    No. Starting capital was 50k.

  5. Which are the established companies in your field that you admire?
    Microsoft.

  6. Which blue chip companies would you like to be in touch with and why?
    Microsoft since CorporateStack is developed completely using Microsoft technology stack (SQL Server & .Net Technology) and I would like to host it on Microsoft Azur Servers and keep it up-to- date with the latest technologies from Microsoft.
